Ducted Heat Pumps
You can count on a ducted heat pump system to effectively and efficiently heat, cool and clean the air in your home. Instead of burning fossil fuels like a furnace, a ducted heat pump captures the ambient heat from the outdoors, draws it into your home and uses electricity to distribute heat evenly. During the summer, the process reverses and the ducted heat system removes the heat from your home, providing air conditioning.
Ductless Heat Pump
A ductless split heat pump provides the same heating and cooling that a ducted heat pump does, but you guessed it โ without the ductwork. Since there is no ductwork to install, itโs easy to add to any home and in any room desired. Ductless split heat pump systems offer both energy and cost savings and are the perfect retrofit to homes where ductwork is impractical or too expensive to install. Homeowners with baseboard heating can save up to 60% off of their baseboard heating costs which can offset the cost of installation in only 2-5 years.
The system is composed of three main components; an indoor unit(s), an outdoor compressor unit and a remote control. All ductless systems are connected by refrigerant lines and can be mounted on either a wall or in the ceiling. With systems that can have up to eight indoor units, your entire home can be heated or cooled effectively and efficiently.
Gas & Electric Furnaces
Since the energy needed to heat your home can account for approximately 50% of your monthly utility bill, it is important to consider upgrading an older, low or mid-efficiency furnace. Reliable high-efficiency furnaces can maintain consistent, comfortable temperatures throughout your home at a fraction of the cost but every home is unique and there are many factors to consider. Variations in size, layout, ductwork, insulation and the type and number of windows are just some factors that need to be considered when choosing the perfect solution for your home.
Gas furnaces offer single stage, two stage and modulating models. A furnace with a high-efficiency rating of at least 95% and preferably Energy Star certified is a wise choice when choosing a new high-efficiency furnace. An add-on communicating thermostat with advanced technology can also provide greater efficiency of your unit, comfort and optimal performance year round.
A BC Safety Authority Gas Permit is mandatory to ensure your installation is completed to current safety codes, that the furnace is installed to both the manufacturersโ and BC Safety Authority specifications and for your own peace of mind. There are many well known brands to choose from including Trane, Carrier and Amana but choosing a reputable contractor that stands behind their work by providing a 1 year warranty on labour should factor into your decision.

Air Purification
Now more than ever, we are spending a large portion of our time indoors and at home. Make your home cleaner, healthier and more comfortable by adding Air Purification to your system for advanced air filtration that removes pollens, dust and other irritants from your conditioned space.
If you have allergies, you may also want to consider a Carrier Infinity Air purifier for a whole-home air filtration. A common measure for indoor air quality is the MERV rating, also known as the Minimum Efficiency Reporting Value. Unlike most standard filters with MERV ratings only as high as 8, air purifiers have a MERV rating of 15 and remove up to 99.9% of allergens from your conditioned space.
We can help you decide which indoor air quality product best suits your needs.
